I earned my bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology at Temple University before graduating from Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and becoming a Board Certified Chiropractor. In order to better aid patients and clients Joe attained his certification as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
I have spent the better part of a decade combining an individualized, whole-person understanding of the pain experience with sport, strength and performance training informed by the best available evidence. Utilizing both sport science and a studied understanding of the neurological underpinnings of the pain experience allows me to provide patients and clients with the guidance they need to overcome their pain experience and to take back control of their health, leisure and their quality of life.
I have had the opportunity to work with Ironman athletes, ultramarathon runners and with professional athletes from the MLS to the MLB. Most of all, however, I continue in my passion for helping everyday people overcome the anxiety, the fear and the disability that is inherent to the pain experience. I have made a career of coaching, guiding empowering patients to overcome their movement challenges, physical, emotional, mental and otherwise.
When I am not engaged in coaching or my clinical practice I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, tennis and orienteering (a sport I highly recommend you try!) I use resistance training, Indian Club Swinging and Heavy Club Swinging for my own fitness. Whenever possible I look to include the therapeutic value of just getting out and having fun through these and other methods when devising a plan for my patients and clients.
